Novena of prayer for the General Synod
The nine days between Ascension Day and Pentecost, which this year fall between 17 May and 27 May, are traditionally days of prayer for the gift of the Holy Spirit. This year, we are encouraging all Christians in the Church of England to use these days as days of prayer for the General Synod, and in particular for the House of Bishops, who will meet during those days. We pray that ways may be found to ensure that the Church of England remains comprehensive and generous to those of differing convictions on contested questions.

Welcome to the The Society in the South-West under the patronage of St Wilfrid and St Hilda
We are a group of Priests, Deacons and Lay people who seek to proclaim the Catholic Faith as the Church of England has traditionally received it under the patronage of St Wilfrid and St Hilda.
We are a missionary society and we hope to promote our aims through events, services, prayer and mutual support.
Bishop John wishes to encourage those who share the aims and objectives of the Society to join and so give encouragement to each other and register our strength and commitment.
Please do sign up and encourage others to sign up as well. Details can be found on the link.
